Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Yurchon Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Jar!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yurchon Jr avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jar uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Yurchon Jr.
Yurchon Jr connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jar. Jar circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Jar moves away from the strike by Yurchon Jr.
Jar drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Yurchon Jr defends it well.
Yurchon Jr lands a jab to the head.
Yurchon Jr thows a left - swing and a miss!
James Yurchon Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yurchon Jr misses with a looping right.
Jar misses with a few strikes there.
Yurchon Jr throwing a counter right hand but Jar manages to avoid it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jar shoots in for a double leg but Yurchon Jr sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jar rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Yurchon Jr moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Yurchon Jr throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jar moves out of range of the strikes.

Yurchon Jr connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Jar looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Jar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Yurchon Jr to the mat! Yurchon Jr manages to get full guard.
Yurchon Jr on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Yurchon Jr tries to get out of the position.
Jar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yurchon Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jar controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Yurchon Jr keeping moving, preventing Jar from controlling successfully.
Jar slips nicely into half guard.
Jar looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jar landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Jar maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Yurchon Jr could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Jar has cracked it and Yurchon Jr is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Jar!
