And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Guillermo Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Alvarez should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Alvarez throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Boones head.
Alvarez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Boone throws a lazy head kick
and Alvarez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Boone won't be happy with that.

Alvarez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Boone knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Boone manages to work his way to half guard, despite Alvarez's best efforts.
