Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Default Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Razor De Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Costa has chosen Synphony of Destruction by Megadeth as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Default Fighter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Razor De Costa! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Costa drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. De Costa wants to stand but Fighter is controlling his posture from full guard. De Costa postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. De Costa slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. De Costa thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Fighter is looking to regain half guard here but De Costa keeps moving and retains side control. De Costa is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fighter knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. De Costa is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fighter is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. De Costa working the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked De Costa off and has taken his back! De Costa turns into Fighter and is now in his guard.

Fighter trying to control but he's not successful this time. De Costa is trying desperately to improve position. Fighter is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but De Costa is surviving well by controlling Fighter's body position as best he can. Fighter is going olschool here, as he tries to force De Costa to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so De Costa shrugs it off. Fighter working De Costa over with strikes here.

Fighter dominating with strikes here. De Costa tries to get back to half guard but can't. Fighter jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… De Costa is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by De Costa and Fighter has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

De Costa has his foot on Fighter's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fighter works his way back into a safe position though. De Costa looks gassed! De Costa lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fighter! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fighter is trying to escape the mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. De Costa putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Fighter is in a horrible position here. De Costa smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
De Costa looking to control but Fighter is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Fighter wants to control but De Costa is having none of it. Fighter is wriggling around trying to escape.
De Costa lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Fighter hang on? De Costa jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Fighter manages to avoid the submission attempt. De Costa advances nicely into full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Fighter flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. De Costa passes to full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Razor De Costa dominated that round. The cut man is working on Razor De Costa's cut. That's time! Fighter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Fighter shoots and misses and De Costa counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Fighter looking for a guillotine here but De Costa defends easily.

De Costa distracts Fighter with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. De Costa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. De Costa gets to his feet. Fighter looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! De Costa lands with a nice combination. Fighter backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Default Fighter has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Jab by De Costa. De Costa looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. De Costa is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! De Costa looking to secure an arm triangle but Fighter defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fighter looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and De Costa pushes past his half guard into mount! De Costa working for a submission but Fighter is keeping him at bay. Fighter throwing hammer fists to the chest of De Costa. What's that going to do exactly? Fighter tries to reverse the position but De Costa maintains control. Fighter bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! De Costa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fighter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fighter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. De Costa has his foot on Fighter's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fighter works his way back into a safe position though. Fighter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Fighter postures up in De Costa's guard and throws a big left but De Costa blocks it. De Costa wants to sweep here but Fighter controlling him for the moment. De Costa trying to strike off his back.
De Costa looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fighter is one step ahead there. Fighter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. De Costa looking for a sweep. Not yet De Costa, not yet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Fighter shoots and misses and De Costa counters with a lovely straight right hand! Fighter with a lazy takedown attempt and De Costa counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Default Fighter. That's going to take a lot out of him. De Costa is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Fighter keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Fighter trying to hold on to De Costa's head to control him but De Costa postures up.
Fighter is not content to let De Costa control the position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! De Costa looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Fighter is looking for a sweep. De Costa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Razor De Costa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Fighter tries to clinch but fails miserably and De Costa counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fighter won't be happy with that. De Costa remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Fighter manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Fighter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fighter seems to be looking for submissions.
De Costa has been the more effective fighter overall so far. De Costa makes his way to full guard. A much better position for De Costa. Fighter preventing the sweep. Fighter trying to control the position from guard on top but De Costa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fighter has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. De Costa looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Fighter got a little sloppy there for a moment and De Costa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fighter has managed to get both his arms back between De Costa's legs - danger averted. De Costa throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Fighter is looking for a kimura but De Costa is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fighter to get the leverage. De Costa looking for submissions off his back. De Costa regains full guard. Nicely done. Fighter wants to pass the guard but De Costa is keeping the position. De Costa not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Default Fighter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Razor De Costa is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. De Costa tries to get to full guard but Fighter has control of the leg.
And that's the end of the fight! Razor De Costa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well De Costa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
