Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hjalmar Raak (ranked 1381 p4p, 2756 weight class) and Nikolai Kaspersky (ranked 174 p4p, 329 weight class). Hjalmar Raak has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Hjalmar Raak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nikolai Kaspersky! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and James Ackerman.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raak throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Raak thuds his right hand into Kaspersky's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Raak misses with a hook
so Kaspersky counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kaspersky throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Raak works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kaspersky cracks Raak with a solid left hand. Kaspersky wants to control from the top but Raak keeps moving. Kaspersky keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Raak's head.
Kaspersky avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Raak keeping full guard, as Kaspersky tries to pass. Raak wants to sweep but no luck. Kaspersky trying to control the position from guard on top but Raak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kaspersky pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Raak is keeping the position for now. Kaspersky trying to control but Raak is working from the bottom. Raak utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kaspersky throws a big elbow that misses. Kaspersky postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kaspersky postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Raak is looking for a triangle but Kaspersky pushes his legs off easily.
Kaspersky is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kaspersky's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kaspersky accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Kaspersky with a body punch. A glancing blow. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Kaspersky misses the shot to the body. An attempted straight right counter from Raak misses the target.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Raak moves out of range as Kaspersky strikes. Kaspersky fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kaspersky fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Raak throws the left hand but Kaspersky avoids the punch easily. Raak avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kaspersky misses with a straight left. Raak quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Kaspersky jabs Raak to the body, keeping him at a distance.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Kaspersky avoids a kick to the body.
Kaspersky with the counter takedown but Raak avoids it easily. Kaspersky fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Raak on the side of the head. Raak misses with a looping right.
Raak has taken the fight to the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Raak creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Raak misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Raak just leaning against Kaspersky, taking a breather. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kaspersky tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Kaspersky swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kaspersky tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Raak's elbow. Kaspersky swings wildly with an uppercut but Raak uses good head movement to avoid it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nikolai Kaspersky dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Raak misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kaspersky scores with a shot to the side of Raak's head. A head punch on the inside from Kaspersky fails to land. Raak struggles to land a body shot inside as Kaspersky controls his hands.
Raak manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Raak is trying to keep Kaspersky in close.
Kaspersky must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Raak keeping moving, preventing Kaspersky from controlling successfully. Raak is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Kaspersky is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Raak trying to keep a closed guard but Kaspersky is proving a slippery customer.

Raak looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kaspersky is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Kaspersky in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kaspersky keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Raak's head. Kaspersky has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Raak wants to sweep here but Kaspersky controlling him for the moment. Kaspersky postures up in Raak's guard and throws a big left but Raak blocks it. Kaspersky wants to control from the top but Raak keeps moving.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Some bone on bone action there as Kaspersky checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Kaspersky connects with a right hand. Raak shakes it off. Nice jab there from Kaspersky. Kaspersky misses with a combination
and Raak makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Kaspersky misses with a series of wild punches.
Kaspersky has closed the distance and engaged Raak in a clinch.
Raak escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Raak takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Raak throws a looping overhand right but Kaspersky ducks down to avoid it. Kaspersky with the counter takedown but Raak avoids it easily. Kaspersky keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nikolai Kaspersky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Raak fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kaspersky manages to avoid it. Nice uppercut lands for Kaspersky. That snapped Raak's head back.

Nikolai Kaspersky is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Raak tries to clinch up but Kaspersky circles away and keeps his distance. And Kaspersky tries to counter it with a takedown but Raak pushes his down on his head and steps out. Raak looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Raak throws a hook but Kaspersky blocks it. Raak defending well as Kaspersky loads up on a big left hand. Nikolai Kaspersky seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kaspersky lands a jab to Raak's midsection. Raak throws a looping overhand right but Kaspersky ducks down to avoid it. Raak misses the shot to the body. Raak looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. A big left from Kaspersky misses. Raak dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kaspersky lands a jab to the head.
Raak has taken the fight to the clinch.
Raak throws a punch but it's blocked by Kaspersky. Kaspersky tries to throw a body punch but Raak avoids it by throwing Kaspersky back against the cage. Kaspersky lands with a short shot to the head. Kaspersky blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hjalmar Raak has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Raak doesn't manage to clinch there - Kaspersky circles away.
Raak needs to keep his hands up - Kaspersky had a free shot at his head there. Kaspersky lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Raak throws a lazy right hand but Kaspersky sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kaspersky scores with a sloppy right hand. Raak should have avoided that one. Kaspersky uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Raak.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Raak moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Nikolai Kaspersky comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kaspersky has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
