Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Benson Whyte Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Jones! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whyte Jr fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jones on the side of the head. Jones scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Whyte Jr's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jones connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Whyte Jr scrambles back to his feet. Jones misses with a wild body shot. Jones throws a body punch but Whyte Jr moves out of range. Whyte Jr misses with a straight right. Jones shoots in for a takedown but Whyte Jr shows good takedown defense. Whyte Jr misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jones.
Jones doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Jason Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Whyte Jr. Jones shrugs it off though. Whyte Jr bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jones's head backwards. Jones misses the body punch and Whyte Jr counters with a flying knee. Nice. Jones fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Jones on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Whyte Jr keeps Jones at a distance using the push kick. Jones looks to throw the jab but Whyte Jr is out of range. Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Jones throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Whyte Jr tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jones is in Whyte Jr's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jones loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Whyte Jr keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jones postures up in Whyte Jr's guard and throws a big left but Whyte Jr blocks it. Jones sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Whyte Jr's guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Jones working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Jones is keen to just control but Whyte Jr is a slippery customer.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Whyte Jr keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Whyte Jr kicks Jones off and gets back to his feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Whyte Jr does a little dance to reset his feet. Benson Whyte Jr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Whyte Jr connects with a crisp jab. Jones fails with a takedown attempt. Whyte Jr throws a nice head kick!

Whyte Jr swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Jones misses with a wild body shot. It looked like Whyte Jr wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Whyte Jr is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Whyte Jr does a little dance to reset his feet. Nice shot by Whyte Jr. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Whyte Jr loads up on a big right hand but Jones slips the punch.
Jones darts in and clinches Whyte Jr up against the cage. Jones throws a head punch that misses. Jones blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Jones tries to work over Whyte Jr's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Jones stalling the fight.
Whyte Jr pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Whyte Jr moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jones drops his hands momentarily and Whyte Jr takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Jones swings for the body but Whyte Jr moves out of range.
Whyte Jr lands with a shot to the body. Jones misses with a straight right. Whyte Jr buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Benson Whyte Jr will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

 Whyte Jr is rocked! Whyte Jr lands a front kick. Oh Whyte Jr is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Jones scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Jones missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jones trying to control from Whyte Jr's half guard. Whyte Jr has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Jones trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Whyte Jr seems to have got his legs back now. Jones working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Whyte Jr avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jones throwing strikes but missing. Jones looking to pass the guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Whyte Jr keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jones in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Jones with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Whyte Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. and Jones counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Whyte Jr throws a front kick that sends Jones stumbling back into the cage. Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Whyte Jr manages to avoid it. Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Jason Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Jones has hold of one of Whyte Jr's legs. Whyte Jr is fighting the takedown attempt but Jones gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Whyte Jr is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Jones presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Whyte Jr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Whyte Jr punishes Jones's body with a nice straight punch. Whyte Jr lands with a thumping leg kick.

We've been told by Whyte Jr's head coaches at Catastrophic Contact that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Whyte Jr circles away. Whyte Jr delivers a nice body kick. Whyte Jr throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jones on the side of the head. Whyte Jr jabs at Jones's body. and Whyte Jr counters with a nice body kick. Whyte Jr will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Jones has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Boom. That sent Whyte Jr stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Jones lands with a nice combination. Whyte Jr backs away looking to recover.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Benson Whyte Jr! In his post fight interview, Benson Whyte Jr started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
