And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 16 wins and 8 losses; Saul Hunter! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Borgia dives in and grabs Hunter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hunter pushes down on Borgia's head and hops out.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hunter content just to control the position here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Borgia is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

 That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Borgia is looking to pass into half guard but Hunter pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Hunter is in guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Borgia (2) vs (10) Hunter Borgia looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Borgia can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hunter controls the pace. Borgia is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hunter controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

We've been hearing good reports from Borgia's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Hunter takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
 That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Borgia is doing well to control the position and prevent Hunter from advancing to side control. Borgia wants to improve his position but Hunter is controlling well.
