This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 48 wins and 31 losses; Isaac Vernon! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 45 wins and 21 losses; Yuri Prochazka! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Vernon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Prochazka manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Vernon (2) vs (0) Prochazka Vernon looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Prochazka is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vernon defends well.
Prochazka working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vernon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vernon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vernon stays in close to Prochazka's body and controls the position. Prochazka trying to control the position.
We've been hearing good reports from Vernon's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Prochazka slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Vernon is pressing down on Prochazka's thigh, looking to free his foot. Prochazka is holding on for now. Prochazka trying to control here.
Vernon is trying to control. Prochazka wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Vernon uses his free foot to push down on Prochazka's thigh.  That's three minutes gone in the round. Prochazka is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Vernon controlling the pace for now. Prochazka is trying to escape the mount.
Prochazka sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Prochazka has his hands clasped together around Vernon's back. He's all about the action. Prochazka is trying to get back to full guard.

Prochazka has his feet on Vernon's thighs here. He's pushed Vernon off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Vernon screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
