Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Percival Nerdspoof The 3rd (ranked 289 p4p, 397 weight class) and Mate Orsic (ranked 31 p4p, 45 weight class). Nerdspoof The 3rd kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Loser. Orsic has chosen KRS One - Rappaz R. N. Dainja as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orsic avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Orsic shoots in for a takedown but Nerdspoof The 3rd shows good takedown defense.
Orsic takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Orsic walks into a stiff left hand from Nerdspoof The 3rd.

Percival Nerdspoof The 3rd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Orsic enables Nerdspoof The 3rd to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Orsic manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Orsic had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nerdspoof The 3rd defends it easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nerdspoof The 3rd walks into a straight right hand from Orsic.
Nerdspoof The 3rd looks to score with a jab to the body but Orsic is just out of range.
Orsic walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Nerdspoof The 3rd throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Orsic moves out of range as Nerdspoof The 3rd strikes.

Orsic looking to score a takedown here. Nerdspoof The 3rd is defending well but Orsic drives through and ends up in Nerdspoof The 3rd's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Orsic accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nerdspoof The 3rd is on top in guard.

Nerdspoof The 3rd has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Orsic wants to sweep but no luck.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Orsic is looking for a triangle here but Nerdspoof The 3rd uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Nerdspoof The 3rd seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Orsic for as long as he can get away with.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Nerdspoof The 3rd feints and as Orsic raises his hands in defense, Nerdspoof The 3rd changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Orsic looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Nerdspoof The 3rd puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Nerdspoof The 3rd trying to control from Orsic's half guard. Orsic has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Orsic isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Nerdspoof The 3rd stacks Orsic on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Nerdspoof The 3rd!
