Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Leon Pichler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karl Schwarzschild!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pichler gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Schwarzschild counters with a stiff right hand.
Schwarzschild displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pichler.
Pichler misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leon Pichler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Schwarzschild ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pichler moves away.

and Schwarzschild counters with a lovely shot to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pichler tries for a takedown but Schwarzschild circles away easily
enabling Schwarzschild to counter with a crisp jab.
Schwarzschild lands a left and a right that send Pichler crashing to the mat, dazed. Schwarzschild thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Schwarzschild cracks Pichler with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Pichler tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Schwarzschild pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Pichler is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karl Schwarzschild!
