Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Al Song (ranked 3946 p4p, 25529 weight class) and Joe Missel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joe Missel!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Song uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Missel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Song but Song pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Joe Missel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Missel moves out of range as Song strikes.

Missel shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Missel is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Missel is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Song can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Song is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Missel feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Missel moves forwards but Song connects with a nice, crisp jab.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Missel is defended easily by Song.

Missel shoots in looking for a takedown. Song tries to sprawl out of it but Missel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Song manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Song throws a good cross that connects.
Joe Missel is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Missel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Song as he avoids it easily.
It looked like Song wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

And that's the end of the fight!
Al Song showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Missel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
