Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Franklin Cage (ranked 2334 p4p, 3923 weight class) and Martin Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 377 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Franklin Cage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Martin Tyson! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Anthony Taglia.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cage looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Cage fails with the takedown. It seemed like Tyson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Tyson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tyson scores with a punch to the head. Cage doesn't succeed with the takedown and Tyson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Cage gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Tyson throws a series of punches but Cage avoids them all with ease. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tyson misses with a double jab.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Tyson!
Nice sprawl there from Tyson as Cage shoots in. Tyson let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Franklin Cage. That's going to take a lot out of him.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Cage shoots for a takedown but Tyson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tyson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Cage closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Cage keeps control of Tyson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Tyson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cage takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Cage will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Tyson misses with the combination.
Cage half committed to a counter leg kick. Nice body punch from Tyson.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Cage shoots in for a takedown but Tyson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Cage shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tyson sprawls well. Tyson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cage gets slowly back to his feet. Cage fails to land the takedown. Cage fails to land the takedown. Tyson doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Cage is breathing heavily.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyson fails to land with a series of punches.
Cage throws a nice looking combination but Tyson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Tyson lands with a nice combination. Cage backs away looking to recover. Cage takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Cage takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Tyson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Cage takes a body punch but keeps moving. Cage takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tyson stuffs the takedown. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Tyson! But no joy.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyson leaves Cage with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Tyson stalks Cage and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Cage's face. Cage staggers backwards, shaken. Tyson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Cage on the side of the head. Cage fails with an attempt to clinch.
Tyson keeps the fight on the outside.
Cage closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Tyson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Martin Tyson dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Cage has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cage there as he acknowledges the shot. Tyson scores with a nice right hand.
Cage shoots for a double leg takedown but Tyson sprawls well. He's pushed Cage's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Cage wants to clinch and Tyson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Tyson connects with a crisp jab. Tyson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tyson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

 That's one minute gone in the round. Cage shoots in for a takedown but Tyson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Franklin Cage is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cage misses with a takedown and Tyson counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Tyson lands a nice hook to Cage's body. Cage takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Cage tries to clinch up. Tyson connects with a body shot. Tyson cracks a nice hook into Cage's ribs.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyson catches Cage with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Cage has a takedown stuffed. As Cage backs off Tyson throws a huge counter combo but Cage manages to avoid it all. Tyson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cage on the side of the head. Tyson scores with a shot to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tyson connects with the punch. Cage shoots and misses and Tyson counters with a right hand to the body. Cage takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Cage on the wrong end of a nice jab. Tyson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Cage walks into a left hand. Martin Tyson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cage doesn't succeed with the takedown and Tyson counters with a right hand to the body. Nice shot by Tyson. Tyson lands a nice hook to Cage's body. Cage takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Cage takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Cage has his takedown stuffed enabling Tyson to counter with a crisp jab.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Cage gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Tyson. Tyson cracks Cage with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tyson lands with a nice combination. Cage backs away looking to recover. Cage closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. A right-left combo lands from Tyson. Tyson throws a shot to the body.
Tyson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cage stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Tyson lands with a shot to the body. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Martin Tyson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Tyson! But no joy. Cage looks for a takedown but Tyson sprawls well. Tyson doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Tyson's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Tyson duly obliges. A shot to the liver by Tyson. Beautiful body shot. Tyson lands with a nice body punch. Cage misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tyson slaps away a takedown attempt from Cage, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Franklin Cage. That's going to take a lot out of him.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyson with a jab. Tyson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cage on the side of the head. Cage tries to clinch up. Jab from Tyson. Nice shot lands for Tyson. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Good standup being displayed there by Tyson as he connects with a hook. Tyson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Martin Tyson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Cage shoots in for a double leg but Tyson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Tyson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Tyson throws a combination. Cage tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Cage shoots and misses and Tyson counters with a straight right hand. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cage. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Tyson with a nice cross. Good exchange - Tyson coming out on top. Tyson scores with a shot to the body.
Tyson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Tyson displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Tyson dips to his left and cracks Cage with an uppercut!
 That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cage tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tyson defends well and Cage ends up having to push Tyson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Tyson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cage takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Tyson jabs Cage to the body, keeping him at a distance. Tyson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Cage back to the cage. Tyson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. A jab from Tyson does it's job there. Cage swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tyson counters with a nice body shot. Tyson dips to his left and cracks Cage with an uppercut!
And that's the end of the fight! Martin Tyson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Tyson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
