Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richard Richman (ranked 3426 p4p, 2497 weight class) and Ezra Elsen (ranked 392 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elsen is looking to clinch but Richman is avoiding it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Elsen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Richman tried to counter with a leg kick but Elsen avoided it.
Elsen stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Richman.
That kick from Richman tenderised Elsen's leg. Elsen is trying to keep his angry face on.
Richman gets tackled into the cage by Elsen. Elsen maintains the clinch.
Elsen lands a right hand that snaps the head of Richman backwards.

Richman is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Elsen is keeping busy.
Richman blocks an elbow strike from Elsen.

Richman tries to throw a body punch but Elsen avoids it by throwing Richman back against the cage.

Elsen lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Richman backwards.
Richman is rocked!
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Elsen creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Oh Richman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Elsen dips a shoulder and cracks Richman with a mighty uppercut! Richman falls back against the cage and Elsen unloads with a barrage of strikes! Richman is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Elsen screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ezra Elsen!
