Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eric Arthur Blair!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Amstel Gross!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gross throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Blair closes the distance but Gross moves to the side
and Gross counters with a nice double leg into side control. Blair won't be happy with that.
Blair tries to improve position but can't.
Gross working away.
Blair regains half guard.
Blair is refusing to be controlled, as Gross sits in half guard.
Gross trying to control the pace.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gross can do anything to dispel that myth.
Blair wants to free his trapped foot but Gross is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Blair is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gross doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Blair.

Blair uses his free foot to push down on Gross's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gross.
