The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bear works the jab nicely.
Bear scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Bear falls off balance throwing a combination
and Barella counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Shaggy Bear has been cut.
Bear connects with a jab.
Bear connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Barella throws a poor cross that misses
and Bear counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bear moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Bear swings for the body but Barella moves out of range.
Bear looks to land a right hand but Barella moved out of range.
Freddie Barella seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bear connects with a leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A shot to the body from Barella misses
and Bear counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bear takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Barella lands a big right hand that sends Bear crashing to the mat! Barella stays standing though and waves Bear back to his feet!
Bear is rocked!
Barella works Bear's body with a nice hook.
Oh Bear is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bear is breathing heavily.
Barella drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Bear's head, knocking him out cold! Barella is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Freddie Barella!
A relieved looking Freddie Barella thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
