Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Volkov (ranked 3091 p4p, 5137 weight class) and Magomed Magomedov (ranked 325 p4p, 457 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Magomed Magomedov enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexei Volkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Magomed Magomedov!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov connects with a single shot there.
A left lands for Magomedov.
Volkov slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Volkov. Magomedov does a little dance to reset his feet.
The fighters circle momentarily. Volkov darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Volkov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Magomedov throws a hook but Volkov blocks it.
Volkov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Magomedov.
Magomedov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Volkov's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Magomedov postures up.
Magomedov has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Volkov to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Magomedov is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Volkov pulls down on the head and he's put Magomedov to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Alexei Volkov!
