Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Osmany Pizziconi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zhandouji Quantou!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pizziconi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pizziconi drops down looking for a counter takedown but Quantou sprawls and moves away.
Pizziconi clinches.
Pizziconi has Quantou pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Pizziconi pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Quantou tumbling to the mat - Pizziconi dives into Quantou's guard.

Quantou really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pizziconi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Quantou can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pizziconi lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Pizziconi is looking to work some ground and pound but Quantou has wrist control.

Zhandouji Quantou is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pizziconi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Quantou defends it nicely.
Quantou lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Quantou slaps away a takedown attempt from Pizziconi, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Quantou tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pizziconi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pizziconi dives in and scores a takedown into Quantou's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pizziconi's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Pizziconi content to stall in guard here.
Pizziconi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Pizziconi lands a big elbow - Quantou is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Pizziconi!
