Atunes comes into the arena with Makeba blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joao Diaz tries for a takedown but Atunes circles away easily
and Atunes counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Joao Diaz looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Atunes jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
It looks like Charles Joao Diaz has been cut.

Atunes looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Atunes tests Joao Diaz's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Joao Diaz has his takedown stuffed
and Atunes counters with a crisp one two that drops Joao Diaz! Atunes thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Joao Diaz to his feet! Joao Diaz is in big trouble!

Joao Diaz takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Atunes throws a leg kick which misses Joao Diaz's front leg but catches the back leg as Joao Diaz tries to avoid it.
Atunes feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Joao Diaz sprawling to the canvas! Joao Diaz rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Atunes finish him?!
Joao Diaz is still on wobbly legs! Can Atunes finish him?
Atunes fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Atunes lands a body shot.
Atunes throws an uppercut from hell that sends Joao Diaz clean off his feet! He's out cold! Atunes stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cavalho Atunes!
