Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gage Burns (ranked 964 p4p, 1610 weight class) and Douglas Clark (ranked 111 p4p, 189 weight class). Clark has chosen Sweet Home Alabama as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gage Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas Clark!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns scores with a nice right hand.
Clark lands with a hook. Burns tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
A slow jab from Clark misses its intended target.
Burns walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Clark takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Nice straight punches there by Clark. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Clark.
Burns looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Burns looks to score with a jab to the body but Clark is just out of range.
Burns avoids a punch combination nicely.
A slow jab from Clark misses its intended target.
Burns was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Burns misses the shot to the body.
Burns swings for the body but Clark moves out of range.
Clark swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Clark throws a shot from downtown. Burns moves away and avoids it.
A big right from Burns misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Clark! But no joy.
Clark moves out of range of the strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Burns lands a nice looking body shot.
Burns fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Clark looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Burns misses with a wild body shot.
Clark ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Burns takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Burns misses the shot to the body.

Clark is looking for the big counter here.
Gage Burns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clark clobbers Burns with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Burns takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Clark uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Burns.
Clark lands a big uppercut and Burns crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Burns looks OK. Clark waves Burns back to his feet!
Burns is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Clark throws a right hand that Burns ducks under and follows up with a left that Burns also avoids with ease.
Oh Burns is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Clark drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Burns's head, knocking him out cold! Clark is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Douglas Clark!
