Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Barry Parrish (ranked 994 p4p, 1548 weight class) and William Wallace (ranked 103 p4p, 154 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Barry Parrish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Wallace! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parrish works over Wallace's head and body with a nice combination. Wallace lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Parrish circles away quickly and effectively. Parrish misses with a hook. Wallace is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Wallace slips a jab from Parrish. Parrish misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wallace now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Parrish misses with an uppercut. Wallace saw that one coming. Parrish misses with a series of wild punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wallace just misses with a punch to the body.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Parrish wants it to stay on the feet. Parrish appears to be looking for a big counter. Parrish throws a body shot but no joy. Wallace closes the distance looking to clinch and Wallace takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Wallace thuds a left hand into Parrish's body. Parrish misses with a lunging right hand
and Wallace counters with a takedown into side control.
Parrish explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Parrish misses the body punch and Wallace counters with a three punch combo that has Parrish backing up. Parrish nods at Wallace to acknowledge the strikes. Parrish throws a poor cross that misses
letting Wallace counter with a right hand. A big right from Wallace misses. Parrish uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wallace. Parrish cracks Wallace with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Wallace scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Parrish doesn't seem bothered though. No joy there for Parrish, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

It looked like Parrish was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Wallace keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Parrish jabs at Wallace's body. Parrish is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wallace. Parrish misses with a straight left. Wallace is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Parrish keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wallace. Barry Parrish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parrish throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wallace changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Wallace lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Parrish is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wallace. Wallace is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Parrish with a body shot. Wallace takes one on the button. Wallace blocks a jab. Wallace fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Parrish misses with an uppercut
and Wallace counters with a nice double leg into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wallace passes into half guard. Parrish avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Wallace. Parrish controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Wallace is trying a forearm choke� I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

 That's six minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Wallace stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Parrish swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wallace trying to control the position from guard on top but Parrish is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Parrish working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Wallace. Parrish utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wallace throws an elbow that misses. Parrish uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wallace's guard. Nice move by Parrish!
Parrish is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Wallace keeping full guard, as Parrish tries to pass.
Wallace is looking for a triangle but Parrish pushes his legs off easily.
Parrish is stalling in the full guard. Wallace keeping moving, preventing Parrish from controlling successfully. Parrish definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
 That's eight minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wallace looking for a guillotine here but Parrish defends easily.
Parrish seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Wallace looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Wallace has his foot on Parrish's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Parrish works his way back into a safe position though. Parrish sitting in guard, not really doing much. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
 That's nine minutes gone in the round.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Parrish lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wallace circles away quickly and effectively. Wallace misses with a straight right. Parrish lands an overhand right. Parrish looks to score with a jab to the body but Wallace is just out of range. Wallace uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Parrish. Parrish doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Barry Parrish will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Parrish lands with a cross. Parrish lands a nice shot to the body.
Wallace ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Parrish waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wallace. Wallace scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Nice defenses there by Wallace. Wallace takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Good shot there by Parrish. Wallace closes the distance but Parrish moves to the side and Parrish counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Wallace! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Barry Parrish! In his post fight interview, Barry Parrish started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
