PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Isaac Keys (ranked 1974 p4p, 1872 weight class) and Flaming Kerotan (ranked 148 p4p, 140 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Isaac Keys! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Flaming Kerotan! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kerotan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A telegraphed right hand from Keys misses the target. Decent striking displayed by Kerotan there. Keys misses with an uppercut. Kerotan saw that one coming. Keys lands a nice shot that snaps Kerotan's head back.
Kerotan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
As Kerotan tries to get set, Keys tries to push him back and clinch up but Kerotan manages to avoid the attempt. Keys cracks Kerotan with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Keys misses with a double jab.
Kerotan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Kerotan scores with a nice head shot.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Keys moves away from the strike by Kerotan. Keys wants to slow Kerotan down by chopping away at his legs. Keys throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Kerotan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Keys clinches with his opponent.
Keys blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Kerotan swings wildly with an uppercut but Keys uses good head movement to avoid it. Kerotan lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Keys has Kerotan pressed against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kerotan creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Kerotan lands a right hand.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kerotan manages to break the clinch.
Keys throws a head kick that misses. Kerotan throws a hook but Keys blocks it. A little feinted left hand from Keys on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Keys falls off balance throwing a combination
and Keys takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. This has been an exciting period of action! Kerotan scores with a punch to the head.
Keys lands a left and a right that send Kerotan crashing to the mat, dazed. Keys thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
 Kerotan is rocked! Keys fakes the body blow, causing Kerotan to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Kerotan goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Isaac Keys! In his post fight interview, Isaac Keys started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
