Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Leaf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Mackin Hooez!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Hooez lands an impressive looking overhand right. Leaf doesn't seem phased though.
Leaf tries to move into range but Hooez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Hooez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Hooez is looking to take a break and control but Leaf is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Leaf manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Hooez felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Hooez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Leaf swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Leaf is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Leaf cracks Hooez with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hooez looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away� can Leaf finish him?

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hooez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Leaf is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hooez.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hooez. Leaf does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Leaf counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
