Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ki Ruyjini (ranked 513 p4p, 995 weight class) and Trent Temple (ranked 69 p4p, 141 weight class). Ruyjini comes to the cage accompanied by 修羅の花 Shura no hana by Meiko Kaji. Temple has chosen HonestKey- What My Life For as his entrance music. Ki Ruyjini had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Ki Ruyjini had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trent Temple!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruyjini throws a head kick but Temple moves out of range.
Ruyjini throws a sloppy head kick and Temple moves out of range easily.
Temple feints the counter takedown.
Ruyjini has been working on his boxing with his coaches at House of 1000 Corpses in the buildup to the fight.
A left and a right from Temple both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Ki Ruyjini has been cut.

Temple changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Temple looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Ruyjini looks to land a right hand but Temple moved out of range.
Temple lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Ruyjini tries to sprawl but Temple drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Temple winds up and cracks Ruyjini with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Temple uses his free foot to push down on Ruyjini's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ruyjini.
Ruyjini holds on to Temple around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Temple cracks Ruyjini with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Temple takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Ruyjini wants to hold on but Temple pushes him away.
Ruyjini is squirming around, avoiding Temple's attempts to control the action.
Temple prevents Ruyjini from getting the reversal.

Ruyjini tries to lock up and control but Temple gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Temple can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ruyjini is looking to escape.

BOOM! Temple connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Temple with a couple of short strikes.
Temple postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Ruyjini badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Temple around the waist but Temple pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Temple is the winner by TKO! Temple jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Trent Temple!
