This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 20 losses; Scott Hill! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Aldo Leopold! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jonathan Paton and Alyssa Summers.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Hill closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hill manages to pull guard.
Hill has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Hill escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Leopold gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Leopold tries to free his leg and advance position but Hill is retaining full guard. Leopold stopping the sweep attempt from Hill.
Hill throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Leopold escapes and throws Hill's legs to the side, diving into side control! Score +3 for passing guard: Hill (0) vs (3) Leopold Leopold tries to move to mount but Hill blocks the move with his legs. Hill manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Hill (2) vs (3) Leopold We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hill is trying to work for a kimura but Leopold is defending well.
Hill prevents Leopold from improving his position.

Leopold is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hill pulls his head out easily. Hill is keen to just control but Leopold is a slippery customer.
Hill seems to be working for a kimura but Leopold defends the submission attempt. Leopold gets full guard. Leopold keeping moving, preventing Hill from controlling successfully. Leopold not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Leopold keeping full guard, as Hill tries to pass. Leopold is trying to control the position but Hill postures up.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Hill is looking to pass into half guard but Leopold pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Leopold is in guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Hill (2) vs (5) Leopold The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hill trying to keep a closed guard but Leopold is proving a slippery customer.

Hill looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
 The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hill has his foot on Leopold's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Leopold works his way back into a safe position though. Leopold trying to control the position from guard on top but Hill is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hill is on top in guard.

Hill got a little sloppy there for a moment and Leopold has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hill has managed to get both his arms back between Leopold's legs - danger averted. Leopold looking to control.

Leopold is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Hill rolls with it to try and escape but Leopold cranks on the arm and Hill is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
