Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cerebral Gooner Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lucas Meyer!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Russell Pearce and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gooner Jr closes the distance but Meyer moves to the side
and Meyer counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Gooner Jr takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Gooner Jr misses with a straight right.
Gooner Jr ducks right into an uppercut from Meyer.
Gooner Jr takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Gooner Jr throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Meyer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Gooner Jr looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Meyer jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Meyer misses with an uppercut. Gooner Jr saw that one coming.
Gooner Jr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Meyer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A head kick misses from Gooner Jr.
Gooner Jr is breathing heavily.
Meyer scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gooner Jr doesn't seem bothered though.
Gooner Jr tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Gooner Jr takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Meyer throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Gooner Jr is rocked!
Meyer lands a nice shot that snaps Gooner Jr's head back.
Oh Gooner Jr is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Are you kidding me?! Meyer ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Gooner Jr clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
