Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rod Rice (ranked 4801 p4p, 4636 weight class) and Jonas Campos (ranked 358 p4p, 349 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rod Rice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jonas Campos!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Campos on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Rice bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Rice circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rice throwing a counter right hand but Campos manages to avoid it.
Rice clinches up with Campos and pushes him back against the cage.
Campos is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rice gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Rice lands an elbow inside.
Rice misses with an elbow over the top.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Rice.
Campos blocks an elbow strike.
Rice lands an elbow inside.
Rice goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Campos wants a takedown.
Rice pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Campos throws a head kick but Rice moves out of range.
Campos takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rice misses with a looping right.
Campos fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
An attempted straight right counter from Rice misses the target.
Rod Rice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonas Campos.
Campos fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Rice pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Campos tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rice swivels and escapes.
Rice lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Campos tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Campos has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rice.
Campos fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Rice's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rice displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Campos.
Rice clinches with his opponent.
Rice lands an elbow inside that Campos shrugs off.
It looks like Jonas Campos has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rice has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Campos avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Campos is looking for a takedown.

Rice creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Campos's defenses.
Campos takes an elbow to the temple.
Campos tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rice smiles and moves away.
Campos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rice's waist but Rice gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Campos off to one side.
Rice tried to counter with a leg kick but Campos avoided it.
Nice shot lands for Rice.
Look low, kick high! Rice uses the oldest trick in the book to send Campos tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Rice is absolutely delighted - when Campos wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
