Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tapad Amiga (ranked 23499 p4p, 23475 weight class) and Helen Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Helen Salvacion has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 41 - 86 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tapad Amiga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 56 - 69 - 11, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helen Salvacion! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Salvacion slaps away a takedown attempt from Amiga, before circling back to the center of the mat. Salvacion misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion misses with a takedown attempt - Amiga sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. It appears Amiga was looking to counter with a kick there.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Salvacion throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Amiga tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Salvacion is in Amiga's guard. Salvacion looking to sit in guard and control but Amiga gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Amiga postures up.
Amiga is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Salvacion throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Salvacion trying to keep a closed guard but Amiga is proving a slippery customer.
Salvacion looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Amiga seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Amiga fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Salvacion decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Amiga keeping hold of Salvacion's head, controlling as best he can. Salvacion takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Amiga trying to control but Salvacion postures up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Helen Salvacion dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Salvacion shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Amiga but Amiga pushes him off and we're back to square one. Amiga jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Amiga is defended easily by Salvacion. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amiga closes this distance looking for a takedown but Salvacion circles away.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Amiga is trying hard to land a takedown here. Salvacion sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Salvacion counters with a body kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tapad Amiga. That's going to take a lot out of him. Amiga throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Salvacion's waist but Salvacion gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Amiga off to one side. Salvacion steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Salvacion fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Amiga avoids it really well and circles away.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Salvacion shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Amiga manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Amiga wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Amiga can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Salvacion controls the pace.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Salvacion stays in close to Amiga's body and controls the position. Amiga controlling the position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Amiga's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Salvacion is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Amiga looks for a takedown but Salvacion sprawls well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Amiga fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Salvacion sprawls well initially but Amiga persists and gets the takedown into half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Helen Salvacion will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Amiga changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Salvacion tries to avoid it but Amiga manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Salvacion to the ground. Salvacion escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Salvacion appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Amiga shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Salvacion pinned against the cage. Salvacion gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Salvacion follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion sitting and controlling from the half guard. Salvacion's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Amiga tries to roll over but Salvacion keeps him under control.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Amiga keeps control of the position for the meantime. Salvacion is thwarting Amiga's attempts to control the position. Helen Salvacion has got the better of the ground game so far. Amiga is doing well to control the position and prevent Salvacion from advancing to side control.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvacion slows the pace down in half guard.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Amiga displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Salvacion. Amiga throws a big counter combination but Salvacion scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Amiga keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Salvacion lets loose with a powerful body kick. Amiga will feel that in the morning. Tapad Amiga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Helen Salvacion is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Salvacion closes this distance looking for a takedown but Amiga circles away. Amiga quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Tapad Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Helen Salvacion. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Amiga darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Salvacion trying to control but Amiga postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Helen Salvacion. Well Salvacion has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
