The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yokohama clinches up against the cage.
Yokohama is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hughes is defending well for now.
Yokohama throws a knee to the head but misses.
Yokohama misses with a knee strike.
Yokohama prevents the takedown attempt.

Hughes wants a takedown.
Hughes has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Yokohama avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Hughes is trying to drag Yokohama to the mat but Yokohama just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Hughes changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Yokohama fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Hughes closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Yokohama is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Hughes thows a huge punch but Yokohama dodges it nicely.
Yokohama wants to improve his position but Hughes is controlling well.

Yokohama is controlling Hughes's trapped leg to prevent Hughes from advancing to side control.
Hughes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hughes is working for a kimura but Yokohama is defending it quite comfortably.

Yokohama is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hughes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hughes's back!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hughes is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Yokohama.

Yokohama is cranking Hughes's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Hughes! He's tightened the choke and Hughes is tapping out!
