Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Travis Guenette!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Columbo Gatti and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Guenette feints and as Kvaratskhelia raises his hands in defense, Guenette changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Guenette wants to control from the top but Kvaratskhelia keeps moving.
Guenette pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kvaratskhelia is keeping the position for now.

Kvaratskhelia is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Guenette defends well.

Guenette trying to control the position from guard on top but Kvaratskhelia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Guenette got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kvaratskhelia has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Guenette has managed to get both his arms back between Kvaratskhelia's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Guenette wants to control from the top but Kvaratskhelia keeps moving.

Guenette drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Guenette jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kvaratskhelia closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Guenette quickly recovers to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Guenette has hold of Kvaratskhelia's hands but Kvaratskhelia slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kvaratskhelia content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Guenette has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kvaratskhelia is working away from the top position though.

Guenette should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Kvaratskhelia winds up and cracks Guenette with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Guenette on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Kvaratskhelia slips a nice elbow through Guenette's hands, connecting with Guenette's forehead.
Kvaratskhelia wants to take a breather but Guenette is having none of it.
Guenette is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kvaratskhelia scores with a couple of nice shots.
Guenette wants to get back to full guard but Kvaratskhelia has mounted him!
Kvaratskhelia will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kvaratskhelia cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Guenette is still in real trouble! Can Kvaratskhelia finish him?
Kvaratskhelia avoids the attempt from Guenette to control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kvaratskhelia postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Guenette in real trouble here! The ref calls for Guenette to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Khvicha Kvaratskhelia!

A less than humble Khvicha Kvaratskhelia misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
