Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gunner Gibbs (ranked 2297 p4p, 3160 weight class) and Mikael Li (ranked 155 p4p, 199 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gunner Gibbs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mikael Li!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, David Schapiro and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gibbs's guard.
Gibbs on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gibbs tries to get out of the position.
Gibbs looking for a sweep. Not yet Gibbs, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gibbs is looking to stand up but Li isn't so interested in that idea.
Li slips nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gibbs is controlling Li's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Gibbs is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gibbs has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Li is on him like a limpet, forcing Gibbs back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gibbs tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Li smiles and moves away.

Li is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gunner Gibbs overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gibbs manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Li keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Li seems to have recovered his senses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gibbs has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Li is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Li tries to score a body lock takedown but Gibbs shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Li's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

And Li tries to counter it with a takedown but Gibbs pushes his down on his head and steps out.
