Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Malo Tavara!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter defending well as Tavara loads up on a big left hand.
Tavara throws the left hand but Carter avoids the punch easily.
Tavara works the jab nicely.
Carter walks into a stiff left hand from Tavara.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Tavara avoids the body shot from Carter.
Tavara appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tavara tries to move into range but Carter moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A telegraphed right hand from Tavara misses the target.
Carter wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Tavara misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Carter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Tavara keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Carter swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Malo Tavara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tavara lands a big uppercut and Carter crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Carter looks OK. Tavara waves Carter back to his feet!
Carter is rocked!
Carter gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Tavara gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Carter is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
