Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maurice Lemaire (ranked 4231 p4p, 4264 weight class) and Massiel Tomás (ranked 404 p4p, 405 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Maurice Lemaire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Massiel Tomás!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lemaire throws a nice looking combination but Tomás bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tomás shoots in for a takedown but Lemaire shows good takedown defense.
Tomás takes one to the chin there.
Lemaire misses with a two punch combination.
Massiel Tomás seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lemaire just misses with a punch to the body.
Lemaire doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Lemaire ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Tomás doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Lemaire counter with a right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tomás misses with a takedown
and Lemaire counters with a nice uppercut.
Maurice Lemaire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Massiel Tomás.
Nice uppercut lands for Tomás. That snapped Lemaire's head back.

Tomás on the wrong end of a nice hook.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lemaire tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tomás was well out of range. Poor timing from Lemaire.
Tomás shoots for a double leg takedown but Lemaire sprawls well. He's pushed Tomás's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tomás takes a swing at Lemaire's ribcage but misses.
Tomás changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lemaire looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tomás tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tomás has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Tomás in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Lemaire is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Massiel Tomás!
Our winner, Massiel Tomás, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
