Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Adolf Roser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tawinda Okalou!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okalou throws a hook but Roser blocks it.
Roser appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Okalou misses the jab.
Roser looking to score a takedown here. Okalou is defending well but Roser drives through and ends up in Okalou's guard.
Roser drops back looking for a leg! Okalou is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Okalou manages to kick Roser off! Roser jumps back into Okalou's guard.
Okalou pulls Roser in close to prevent any damage.
Roser controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Roser's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Okalou working a defensive guard here.
Roser slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Roser is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roser trying to control but Okalou is working from the bottom.
Roser pushes down on Okalou's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Okalou is refusing to be controlled, as Roser sits in half guard.
Okalou controlling the position well.
Okalou is not content to let Roser control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Roser is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Roser trying to pass the guard but Okalou defending well.
Roser has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Okalou defend it? Roser steps over the head and cranks it - Okalou is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Roser!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Adolf Roser!
