Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Rose (ranked 2152 p4p, 4038 weight class) and Martin Kolbe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Rose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Martin Kolbe!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Rose misses with an attempted mid kick.
Kolbe fails to land with a series of punches.
Kolbe closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rose quickly recovers to half guard.
Rose is looking to control Kolbe's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rose avoid being mounted?
It looks like Kolbe is going to stand back up.
Rose is defending against the submission attempts here by Kolbe.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
It looks like Kolbe might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Rose knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kolbe on the ground.
Kolbe seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rose does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Rose tries to get to full guard but Kolbe has control of the leg.

Kolbe tries to stand but can't do so whilst Rose controls his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rose wants to improve his position but Kolbe is controlling well.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Rose is not content to let Kolbe control the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kolbe slaps away a takedown attempt from Rose, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rose tries a head kick but it misses.
Kolbe drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Rose defends it well.
Kolbe tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rose defends well and Kolbe ends up having to push Rose into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Kolbe shoots in and bounces Rose off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Rose throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy.
Rose keeping moving, preventing Kolbe from controlling successfully.

Rose seems keen to control Kolbe's posture.
Rose working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kolbe.
Rose bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kolbe's guard.
Rose might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kolbe wants to stand up but Rose is controlling him.
Kolbe is looking to cinch up a triangle. Rose throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kolbe's body to avoid the submission. Kolbe has instead reached around Rose's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kolbe arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
