The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wood looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Braun!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Braun throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wood goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Braun throws a series of punches but Wood moves out of range.
No joy there for Braun, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Braun decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Rene Wood has got the better of the ground game so far.
Braun stalling away here and it's allowed Wood to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Wood gets to his feet. Braun looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Wood shoots for a takedown but Braun saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Wood shoots for a double leg takedown but Braun sprawls well. He's pushed Wood's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Braun scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Wood has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

and Wood counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Braun's guard now.
