And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 49 wins and 28 losses; Jisoo Oh! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Oh feints and as Singleton raises his hands in defense, Oh changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Singleton (0) vs (2) Oh Oh won't allow Singleton to sweep him here. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Singleton looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Oh puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Oh controlling the pace. Singleton has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Oh takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Singleton regains full guard. Nicely done. Singleton looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
 That's six minutes gone in the round. Singleton tries to land a sweep but no joy. Oh controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Oh is fighting to break Singleton's control of his arms but Singleton is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
