Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Roo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubba Tep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tep has chosen You're the Best Around as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Roo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bubba Tep! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tep scores with a crisp jab that stopped Roo in his tracks. James Roo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roo looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Roo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tep pinned against the cage. Tep gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Tep has Roo up against the cage in a clinch.
Tep wants to break the clinch but can't.
Roo has a couple of punches blocked by Tep.
Tep tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Roo smiles and moves away.
Roo goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Tep throws a right hand that Roo ducks under and follows up with a left that Roo also avoids with ease. Roo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. The crowd cheers as Tep lands an impressive looking overhand right. Roo doesn't seem phased though. Tep gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Roo goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Tep breaks the clinch.
Roo throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tep counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Roo is rocked! Tep darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Oh Roo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Roo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Roo tries to get out of the position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Tep trying to control the action but Roo is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tep in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Roo tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Tep!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bubba Tep!
