Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akira Sato (ranked 2571 p4p, 2524 weight class) and Damien Herzog (ranked 312 p4p, 305 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Damien Herzog was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Akira Sato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Damien Herzog! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ben Hemmingworth and Topper Green.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Herzog misses with a body shot.
Herzog misses with a double jab
and Sato counters with a straight right hand. Herzog misses with a hook
and Sato counters with a left and a right that stings Herzog. Nice straight punches there by Herzog. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Herzog. Sato lands a jab to Herzog's midsection. Herzog misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sato.
Damien Herzog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sato avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A little feinted left hand from Sato on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Sato missing with a left hand there. Herzog was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Herzog has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. A left lands for Sato. Sato goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Herzog throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Sato counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sato takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Donk. Herzog catches Sato right on the button with a cross. Herzog misses with a hook. Sato keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sato definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Herzog swings for the body but Sato moves out of range.
Herzog thows a left - swing and a miss! A quick step to the side and Sato tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Sato takes a body punch but keeps moving. Herzog throws out a loose jab but Sato uses good head movement to avoid it. Sato is looking to counter punch. Herzog misses with a combination
and Sato cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Herzog stuns Sato with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Sato pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Herzog swings and misses with a hook to the body.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Herzog is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Sato slips a jab from Herzog. Sato was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Sato fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Herzog manages to avoid it. Herzog throws a poor cross that misses
and Sato counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A jab from Herzog misses. Herzog loads up on a big right hand but Sato slips the punch. It looked like Sato was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Herzog. Herzog missing with a left hand there. Sato was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Herzog misses with a hook to the body
and Sato counters with a nice uppercut. Herzog misses with a lunging right hand
and Sato counters with a stiff right hand. A jab from Herzog misses. The fighters circle momentarily. Herzog darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Herzog is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sato. It looked like Sato was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Sato throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sato lands a jab to the nose. Herzog cracks Sato with a good jab. A clash of legs there as Herzog blocks the low kick. Herzog lands with a straight right. Sato didn't see that one coming. Sato doesn't manage to clinch there - Herzog circles away.
Herzog throws a predictable looking body shot
and Sato counters with a head kick that drops Herzog to the mat! Herzog scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
 Herzog is rocked! Herzog swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sato appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Herzog is still on wobbly legs! Can Sato finish him? Herzog turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Herzog misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sato.
A counter left hand to the body from Sato misses its target. Sato pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A low kick from Herzog misses and Sato scores with a counter punch that sends Herzog to the canvas! Sato smells blood - he's punishing Herzog with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Herzog has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Akira Sato! A relieved looking Akira Sato thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. Damien Herzog was interviewed post fight and said 'I am truly humbled by this experience, we fought like hell out there and the better fighter came out on top. Just know I’ll keep striving to be as great as my counterparts, peace and love'.
