Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Kongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kid comes to the cage accompanied by Go Go Power Rangers. Tommy Kid has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Kid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Kongo! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kid tries to bum rush Kongo with a series of wild strikes but Kongo uses good footwork to avoid the assault. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Kongo has eaten all the pies! Kongo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kid sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Excellent takedown into side control there by Kongo. Kid is trying to improve his position. Kid is working hard here to advance position. Kongo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Kid tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kongo is staying tight to Kid's torso, preventing him from escaping. Kongo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kid, who protects the arm well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kid tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kongo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Kid wants to control but Kongo postures up. Kid is looking to reverse the position. Kid stops Kongo from passing to mount. Kid can't do much from the bottom here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kid tries to clinch but Kongo is having none of it. Kongo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kid moves into the clinch successfully.
Kid prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kongo lands an elbow inside.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kid tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kongo just stands there and leans against the cage. Stalling in the clinch from Kongo.
Kid landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Kongo tries to circle away but Kid has him pinned against the cage. Kongo is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Kongo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Tommy Kid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Kongo. Kongo managing to block the knees to the body from Kid.
Kongo jumps guard but Kid stands there with Kongo around his waist. Kongo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kongo goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kid prevents it.
Kongo looks gassed! Kid stalling.
Kid wants to stall.
Kongo tries to pull guard but Kid won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kongo swings wildly with an uppercut but Kid uses good head movement to avoid it. Kid breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kongo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kid tries to avoid it but Kongo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kid to the ground. Kid escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kid moves into the clinch. Kid gets underhooks to prevent Kongo's takedown attempt.
Kid has picked Kongo up - he's going for a ride! Kid dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Kid prevents Kongo from improving his position. Kongo won't allow Kid to pass to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kid seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kongo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kid looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kid seems to be working for a kimura but Kongo defends the submission attempt. Kid trying to control from Kongo's half guard. Kongo has other ideas though and has regained full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tommy Kid will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kongo fails with the takedown. Tommy Kid is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kid has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kongo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kid.
Kid tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kongo avoids it. Kongo pulls guard effortlessly. Kid trying to control but Kongo is working from the bottom. Kid looking to sit in guard and control but Kongo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kid is trying to keep Kongo in close.
Kid is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kongo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kongo content to stall in guard here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kongo wants to control from the top but Kid keeps moving. Kongo preventing the sweep. Kid is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kongo defends well. Kongo trying to control the position from guard on top but Kid is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kongo won't allow Kid to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Kid wants to clinch. Kongo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kongo showed some decent athleticism there. Kongo prevents Kid from improving his position. Kongo keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Kongo wants to work for an arm triangle but Kid is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kongo wants to control but Kid is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kid trying to control but Kongo postures up.
Kongo trying to mount his opponent but Kid defends it. Kid trying to hold on to Kongo's head to control him but Kongo postures up.
Kongo thows a huge punch but Kid dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kid tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kongo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kongo shoots in but no luck this time. Kongo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kid as he jumps to the side. Tommy Kid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Kongo. Kid shoots in but no luck this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kid is defended easily by Kongo. Kongo clinches. Kid gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kongo.
Kongo fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Kongo drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kid gets the underhooks and prevents it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kongo tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Kongo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kid drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kongo pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kid clinches up with Kongo and pushes him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kid lands a nice elbow. Kongo wants a takedown but no success here.

Kongo is trying to break free. Kongo is trying to maintain a safe position but Kid gets an underhook and turns Kongo into the cage. Kid is stalling here.
Kongo fails to pull guard.
Kid jumps guard and drags Kongo to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Kid is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kongo defends well. Kid has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kongo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kid looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Kid is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kongo defends well. Kongo controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kid had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kongo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kid Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kongo's back instead. Kid is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Kongo knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Kongo for a finish. Kongo turns into Kid and is now in his guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kid closes the distance and clinches. Kongo drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kid pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kongo keeps the fight on the outside. Kongo is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kid keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kid shoots in looking for a takedown. Kongo tries to sprawl out of it but Kid keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kongo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nice sprawl there from Kid as Kongo shoots in. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kid wants to clinch up but Kongo keeps it at a distance. Kid moves in looking to clinch but Kongo pushes him off. Kongo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kongo tries to advance to mount but Kid denies him.
And that's the end of the fight! Tommy Kid showed his dominance in that final round. I think Kid has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
