Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hunter McDonald (ranked 3924 p4p, 2710 weight class) and Fateh Singh (ranked 406 p4p, 309 weight class). McDonald kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Some Bodies Gonna Get It. Fateh Singh is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hunter McDonald! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Fateh Singh! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Singh misses with a double jab.
Fateh Singh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Singh gets in close and instigates a clinch.
McDonald has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Singh clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. McDonald struggling to keep hold of the position.
Singh has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from McDonald. Singh manages to reverse the position and now he's in McDonald's guard. Nice work there by Singh.
Singh wants to pass the guard but McDonald is keeping the position. Singh is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. McDonald on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McDonald tries to get out of the position. Singh is working McDonald over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. This has been an exciting period of action! McDonald is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

 That's one minute gone in the round. McDonald throwing shots but Singh is blocking nicely.
Singh makes his way to full guard, as McDonald worked for a kimura.
Singh managing to control the position. McDonald loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. McDonald throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Singh works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Singh wants to stand up but McDonald is controlling him. Singh wants to sweep here but McDonald controlling him for the moment.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Singh holds on and takes a little breather. Singh wants to sweep here but McDonald controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McDonald wants to control from the top but Singh keeps moving. McDonald postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. McDonald content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Singh trying to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McDonald throws a strike but Singh rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Singh stopping the sweep attempt from McDonald. Singh controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Singh wants to stand but McDonald is controlling his posture from full guard. Singh stopping the sweep attempt from McDonald. Singh trying to control but McDonald is working from the bottom. Singh looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Singh punishing his opponent with strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Singh landing strikes from the mount and McDonald is in trouble!
Singh looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Fateh Singh dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Singh gets in close and instigates a clinch. Singh working McDonald over with knees to the body.
Singh is fighting off a takedown attempt but McDonald is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Singh to the mat. Singh regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Singh has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. McDonald has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Singh creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Singh is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but McDonald is defending well.
Singh breaks from the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McDonald manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Singh on his heels. He'll look to pass Singh's guard now, I'm sure.

Singh explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Singh throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McDonald's waist but McDonald gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Singh off to one side.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Singh shoots in but no luck this time. Hunter McDonald has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fateh Singh.
McDonald looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Singh! McDonald throws a strike aimed at the side of Singh's head but Singh avoids it well. You can see the frustration on Singh's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Fateh Singh has got the better of the ground game so far. An elbow from McDonald crashes against the mat.
Singh is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked McDonald off and has taken his back! Well, with Singh on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before McDonald is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Singh is controlling McDonald's posture. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McDonald accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. McDonald missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. McDonald throws an elbow that misses. Singh uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McDonald's guard. Nice move by Singh!

Singh landing some decent shots from guard. Singh seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

McDonald is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Singh pulls guard. Singh seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Fateh Singh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Singh shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McDonald but McDonald pushes him off and we're back to square one. Singh waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract McDonald. McDonald defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Singh. McDonald attempts a counter takedown but Singh avoids it well and moves away. Singh gets off balance looking for a body kick
and McDonald counters with a takedown into side control.
McDonald is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Singh is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McDonald working away.
 That's one minute gone in the round. McDonald throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Singh wants to control but McDonald postures up.
McDonald is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Singh has escaped the position, nice work there. You can see the frustration on Singh's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
McDonald looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Singh is looking to regain half guard here but McDonald keeps moving and retains side control.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. McDonald looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Singh is avoiding damage well.
McDonald is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Singh has escaped the position, nice work there. The strikes coming from McDonald are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Singh is looking to work his way out of this bad position but McDonald is controlling him well. McDonald tries to score with some ground and pound. Singh controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Singh is trying to control McDonald's posture but McDonald avoids it. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Singh rushes McDonald and presses him up against the cage. Singh wants a takedown but no success here.
Hunter McDonald has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fateh Singh.
Singh turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Singh manages to end up in side control.
Singh is trying to get an arm triangle but McDonald is defending well. McDonald knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Singh on the ground. McDonald is trying to control Singh's posture but Singh avoids it. McDonald is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. McDonald wants to control but Singh is keeping busy and won't allow it. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Singh connects with a nice short shot to McDonald's temple. Singh has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Singh is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, McDonald has managed to free his arm - good work. Singh slips a nice elbow through McDonald's hands, connecting with McDonald's forehead. Singh looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McDonald with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. McDonald tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Singh has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Fateh Singh is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Singh can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McDonald is looking to escape. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Singh unloading with bombs!
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Fateh Singh. Well Singh has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
