Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nelson Marquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Horst Kreiger!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marquez throws a hook to the side of Kreiger's head but Kreiger sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Marquez moves into the clinch.
Marquez wants to break free but Kreiger has control.
Marquez working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Kreiger tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Marquez's elbow.
Marquez breaks from the clinch.
Kreiger moves out of range of the strikes.
Marquez throws a body shot but no joy.
Marquez takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Kreiger bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A cross from Marquez lands.
Marquez works over Kreiger's head and body with a nice combination.
A jab from Marquez misses.
Kreiger fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Marquez sprawls well initially but Kreiger persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kreiger has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kreiger cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Marquez on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Marquez tries to get out of the position.
Kreiger lands a couple of good shots and Marquez has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Marquez is trying to stand back up.
Kreiger throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Marquez!
Marquez is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kreiger connects with a couple of big shots that have Marquez covering up! Oh, this looks bad for Marquez! Kreiger fires away with several more unanswered shots and the referee has no choice but to step in! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Horst Kreiger!
