This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 29 wins and 34 losses; Rio Rolla! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 11 losses; Ben Lauzon!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, David Schapiro and Jonathan Paton.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Lauzon fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
No luck for Lauzon with that takedown attempt.
Lauzon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rolla circles away.
Rio Rolla has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Lauzon.

We've been hearing good reports from Rolla's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Rolla has hold of Lauzon's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Lauzon tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Rolla cranks the arm and Lauzon screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Lauzon, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
