Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez gets caught flat footed, as Reid shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Lopez is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lopez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Lopez looking for a guillotine here but Reid defends easily.
Lopez working for a triangle but Reid defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lopez has momentary wrist control but Reid slips an elbow through the middle.
Reid works over Lopez with some ground and pound from guard.
Lopez controls Reid momentarily but Reid frees himself.

Reid gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lopez to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Reid bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lopez's guard.

Lopez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Reid manages to get himself to full guard.

Reid jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lopez manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Lopez manages to work his way to half guard, despite Reid's best efforts.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Steve Lopez will probably get the nod.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Reid accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Lopez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Reid has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lopez has managed to get both his arms back between Reid's legs - danger averted.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Lopez here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Reid is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lopez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lopez's back!
Reid is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
