And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nolan Hayes!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charelston stuffs the takedown attempt from Hayes. Hayes gets slowly back to his feet.

Charelston has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Charelston keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hayes's head.

Charelston is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hayes with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Charelston to score with a decent uppercut.

Charelston tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hayes knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Hayes is looking to control Charelston's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hayes avoid being mounted?

Charelston is nestled in close to Hayes, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Charelston is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Charelston thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Charelston looks to land a strike but Hayes avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Charelston throws a strike but Hayes rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Charelston content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Hayes has locked up a guillotine! Hayes's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Charelston is holding on here and Hayes must be using up a lot of energy. Charelston has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Hayes gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
