Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 52 - 78 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 71 - 60 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Buut shoots in and bounces Buktot off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Buktot wants to sweep here but Buut controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Buut slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Buktot is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buut not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Buktot is pulling down on Buut's head. It's preventing any offense from Buut, at least for the moment.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Buktot quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

Buktot goes for a double leg but Buut avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Buut continues to drive forward.
A countering left hand to the body from Buut misses.
Buut is looking for a takedown.
Dawindi Buktot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut.
Buktot jumps guard but Buut stands there with Buktot around his waist. Buktot gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Buut tries to score a body lock takedown but Buktot shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Buktot wants to control but Buut is keeping him busy.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Buut tries to get to full guard but Buktot has control of the leg.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Horrible takedown attempt by Buktot or perhaps it was just good defense by Buut, which made it look bad.

Buut closes the distance and clinches up with Buktot, looking for a takedown. Buut pushes Buktot against the cage but Buktot circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Buut tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Buktot swivels and escapes.
It appears Buktot was looking to counter with a kick there.
Buut shoots for a double leg takedown but Buktot sprawls well. He's pushed Buut's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
