Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gerrad Skolz (ranked 275 p4p, 164 weight class) and Terrance Graves (ranked 40 p4p, 25 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Terrance Graves enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gerrad Skolz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Terrance Graves!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Graves tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Skolz paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Skolz half committed to a counter leg kick.
Skolz connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Graves's hands.
Skolz looks to score with a jab to the body but Graves is just out of range.
Graves rushes Skolz and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Graves throws a punch but it's blocked by Skolz.
Skolz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Graves walks away with a smile on his face. Skolz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Graves looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Skolz counters with a good, hard body kick but Graves shrugs it off.
Skolz throws a good cross that connects.
Graves has Skolz up against the cage in a clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Skolz gets control of Graves's arms and successfully pulls guard. Skolz will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Skolz has his foot on Graves's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Graves works his way back into a safe position though.

Graves got a little sloppy there for a moment and Skolz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Graves has managed to get both his arms back between Skolz's legs - danger averted.

Skolz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Graves takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Graves is nestled in close to Skolz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Graves lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Skolz quite badly. Skolz pulls Graves in close trying to recover. Graves postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Skolz on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Skolz doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Terrance Graves!
