Darongo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Chaos And Destruction kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darongo fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Vargas is out of range.
Vargas throws a sloppy body shot
and Darongo makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Vargas really felt that one!
Vargas throws a right hand that Darongo ducks under and follows up with a left that Darongo also avoids with ease.
A slow jab from Vargas misses its intended target.
Darongo swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Darongo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Arturo Vargas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Darongo takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Vargas lands a nice hook to Darongo's body. Darongo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Nice jab there from Darongo.
It looks like Arturo Vargas has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Darongo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Vargas counters with a stiff right hand.
Darongo throws a leg kick but Vargas sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Nice uppercut lands for Darongo. That snapped Vargas's head back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Darongo throws a head kick that misses.

Vargas on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Darongo. Darongo obviously looking to wear him down.
Vargas throws a jab but it's blocked by Darongo.
Vargas misses with a straight left.
