Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, BJJ Master! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jungle Griffin! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Master misses with the combination.
Master throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Griffin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Griffin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Master sneaks back into half guard. Master desperately trying to maintain half guard. Master blocking the ground and pound attempt from Griffin. Master actively working from the bottom here. Griffin sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Master defending well though. Master looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Griffin takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Master keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Griffin is looking for a kimura but Master is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Griffin to get the leverage. Well, if Griffin is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Griffin wants to stand up but Master is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin seems to be working for a kimura but Master defends the submission attempt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Griffin looks gassed! Master looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Master is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Griffin is tapping! Great win for Master!
