PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Horst Kreiger (ranked 3659 p4p, 3565 weight class) and Mathew Logan (ranked 216 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mathew Logan was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Horst Kreiger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mathew Logan!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Logan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kreiger jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Logan misses with an uppercut.

Kreiger drives through with a takedown into Logan's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Logan seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Kreiger looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Logan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kreiger connects with a nice short shot to Logan's temple.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kreiger looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Logan is fending him off so far but Kreiger persists. Nope, Logan circles away and we're back to standing.

Logan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Kreiger cracks Logan with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Kreiger is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Logan can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Logan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kreiger has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Logan has managed to get both his arms back between Kreiger's legs - danger averted.

Logan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kreiger is working away from the top position though.
Logan is positioning himself well to prevent Kreiger advancing to mount.
Kreiger wants to lay and pray for a moment but Logan keeps working.

Horst Kreiger is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kreiger, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
