Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sirus Hughes (ranked 1847 p4p, 3868 weight class) and Jessie Krueger (ranked 0 p4p, 225 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hughes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Devil "Shinedown". These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hughes tries to score a power double leg takedown but Krueger sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hughes somewhat.
Krueger throws a body kick that misses.
Hughes has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Factory in the buildup to the fight.
Hughes fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sirus Hughes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hughes shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Krueger defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hughes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Krueger sprawls well. Krueger wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hughes gets slowly back to his feet.
Krueger tries to sprawl but Hughes drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Krueger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hughes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hughes is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Krueger doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hughes.
Hughes is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Krueger can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hughes is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Krueger sees it coming and defends easily.
Hughes is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Hughes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Krueger is just riding it out for now. Hughes eventually gives up the hold.
Hughes wants to work for an arm triangle but Krueger is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hughes looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Hughes is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Krueger defends it well.
Krueger is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Hughes has latched onto it... Big trouble! Hughes pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Krueger is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Hughes!
