With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brian O Conner!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Cruz.
Cruz connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused O Conner some visible discomfort.
Cruz wants to take a breather but O Conner manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Cruz.
Cruz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cruz chips away with some ground and pound.

O Conner wants to sweep but no luck.
O Conner has his hands on Cruz's head, controlling the position.

Victor Cruz spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
